Vision Therapy Programs

In efforts to simplify an understanding of our Vision Therapy Programs, we have organized our therapy into 4 core vision therapy programs.

Vision sensory therapy

Sensory Foundations VT Program

The first vision therapy program is our Sensory Foundations VT Program. In this program, the goal is to connect visual pathways to the sensory systems of the body. Auditory stimulation, lenses, prisms, patches, syntonic filters, etc. are used in combination with all primitive and postural reflex exercises.

There are 7 levels to our sensory foundations program. Each level has basic vision skills built into the program to be trained in a specific order. Individuals placed in this level of therapy often have retained primitive reflex activity, significant sensory processing challenges, coordination deficits, and emotional regulation issues.

Visual Coordination VT Program

The second vision therapy level is our Visual Coordination VT Program. This program is prescribed for individuals with poor eye movements. Therapists will focus on improving fixation, control of convergence, control of divergence, eye teaming saccades, and pursuits. Individuals diagnosed with strabismus and/or amblyopia may be placed in this program. The use of auditory stimulation, lenses, prisms, filters, syntonics, selective patching, and building skills in a specific order will help individuals improve the coordination of their eyes. Visual Thinking VT Program

The third level of our vision therapy programs is the Visual Thinking VT Program. (visual output). The main emphasis of this program is to process visual information. Typically individuals work on specific visual processing skills that are found to be underdeveloped during a visual processing evaluation.

Sports Vision Training Program

The fourth level of our vision therapy programs is our Sports Vision Training Program. This program is for athletes of any age and any level. These athletes have the basic vision skills present and will train to improve specific vision skills related to their specific sport.

Vision Development Therapy Summarized into Four Bespoke Programs

  1. Sensory Foundations Vision Therapy Program (Vision training starts at the reflex level)

  2. Visual Coordination Vision Therapy Program (Vision training focuses on coordinating and improving fundamental eye movements)

  3. Visual Thinking Vision Therapy Program (Vision training focuses on advancing visual perception skills)

  4. Sports Vision Training Program (Vision training is applied to individual sports and is specific to building skills needed for the specific sport your athlete is participating in.
